Course Content

• The principles of privacy and dignity in relation to medication.
• Awareness of what medicines are, and their categorisation.
• Tasks relating to medication and health care procedures, carer’s role and responsibilities.
• Different routes medication can be administered by.
• Risks associated with medication administration.
• How different medicines are stored and your role in promoting safety around the home.

Course Materials

• All those completing the course will be issued with a Certificate.
• A full set of Course Notes will be issued to the Manager of those attending.

Notes

Those staff who administer medication will need competency assessments.
