Course Content

• Explain workplace safety and how you can contribute to this.
• Identify relevant legislations including the Health and Safety at Work Act, COSHH and RIDDOR and be aware of how these impact on the role of the worker.
• Contribute to effective accident & incident reporting procedures.
• Understand the need for risk assessments and the steps to complete these.
• Fire Safety.
• Electricity.
• Manual Handling Awareness.
• Falls from height.
• Personal Protective Equipment, Identify correct procedures for the disposal of waste.
• Alcohol, Drugs, Lone Work & Violence.

Course Materials

• All those completing the course will be issued with a Certificate.
• A full set of Course Notes will be issued to the Manager of those attending.
